Role Overview

The engineering team is moving toward an AI-native development model, where engineers use AI agents, automation, and modern cloud-native systems to move faster, improve quality, and scale delivery.

Arine is looking for a highly motivated Full-Stack Software Engineering Intern who has practical experience using AI-assisted and agentic development tools in real projects.

What You’ll Do

• Create and improve modern web applications and APIs.
• Build frontend user experiences with React and TypeScript.
• Develop backend services and integrations in Python.
• Work with PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and distributed systems.
• Contribute to scalable, event-driven system design.
• Use AI coding assistants and agentic workflows as part of daily engineering work.
• Help prototype and refine AI-enabled engineering processes.
• Work with AWS-based cloud infrastructure.
• Take part in CI/CD and automated testing activities.

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a BS or MS program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Prior experience building full-stack applications or substantive technical side projects.
• Hands-on exposure to React or another modern frontend framework.
• Backend development experience with Python, Node.js, or a comparable language.
• Comfort working with APIs, databases, and Git-based workflows.
• Practical use of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, ChatGPT, or Windsurf.
• Understanding of prompt engineering basics.
• Ability to review, debug, and improve AI-generated output.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Experience

• Experimentation with agentic development workflows.
• Exposure to LLM APIs, AI agents, MCP servers, or orchestration frameworks.
• Experience working with AWS or similar cloud-native environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated tests.
• Interest in healthcare technology and AI-based platforms.

Compensation

The compensation rate mentioned for this role is $25.00 per period.
