Job Description
The Engineering Storekeeper will be responsible for the meticulous management of the engineering store's inventory. This includes accurately recording the inflow and outflow of stock, ensuring all supplies are received, stored, and dispatched appropriately. The role involves inspecting incoming deliveries for any discrepancies or damages, coordinating the rotation of stock to minimize waste, and maintaining comprehensive records for effective inventory control. Additionally, the storekeeper will assist with freight handling, equipment movement, and minor repair coordination.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the accurate maintenance of all stockroom receipts, records, and withdrawal logs.
- Manage the process of receiving, unloading, and properly shelving all incoming supplies.
- Execute various stock-related duties, including the return of unused items, packing, pricing, and labeling of supplies.
- Thoroughly inspect all deliveries for any damage or discrepancies, reporting issues to the accounting department for necessary reimbursements and record-keeping.
- Implement stock rotation strategies and coordinate the disposal of surplus inventory.
- Ensure diligent record-keeping and manage all documentation to verify stock levels and maintain precise inventory control.
- Facilitate the handling of freight, manage the movement of equipment, and coordinate minor repair tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Possess 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a storekeeping or inventory management role, preferably within the hospitality or engineering sector.
- Demonstrate good English communication skills for effective interaction and record-keeping.
- Exhibit strong technical aptitude relevant to storekeeping operations.
- Proficient in using MS Office Suite for documentation and reporting.
- Maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor.
- Show the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Demonstrate capability in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Additional Information
This is a full-time, onsite position located in Doha, Qatar.
