About the Organization
Shared Health supports the coordination and integration of patient-focused clinical and preventive services across Manitoba, while also delivering province-wide health services and centralized administrative and business support for health organizations in the province.
Role Summary
This position is responsible for maintaining a secure endpoint environment and delivering Level 2 support for desktop, mobile, and peripheral equipment across assigned technologies within Manitoba’s health system enterprise architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide second-level support for desktop and mobile devices.
- Support peripheral equipment and related accessories.
- Work with endpoint management tools, client operating system features, and standard support practices.
- Handle hardware components, field-replaceable units, and other equipment parts as needed.
- Deliver onsite support in a confidential setting.
- Maintain a secure and reliable endpoint environment.
Experience and Education
Candidates should bring at least 3 years of enterprise IT experience in desktop support, with exposure to one or more of the following areas: desktop and mobile hardware, peripheral device support, endpoint management utilities and practices, hardware tools and components, and onsite support in a confidential environment.
A post-secondary diploma in an information technology-related program from an accredited institution is required. A suitable mix of education and experience may also be considered.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven ability to lead staff or contribute in a leadership capacity.
- Familiarity with the LEADS in a Caring Environment framework is valued within Manitoba’s provincial health system.
Work Conditions
- In-person work arrangement.
- Anticipated shift is days, with standby coverage when needed.
- Daily hours: 7.75.
- Annual base hours: 2015.
- Must be able to work safely in a computerized office environment with frequent meetings.
- Role may require lifting and carrying items up to about 10 kg.
- Frequent interruptions are expected, so the ability to refocus quickly is important.
- Regular travel within Manitoba is required using a personal vehicle.
- A valid Manitoba driver’s license is mandatory.

- Adult Abuse Registry Check.
- Security check must be current, meaning completed within 6 months before the employment start date.
