Role Summary

This position is for a meticulous and analytical Cost Controller who will support the hotel’s financial efficiency in Jeddah. The role focuses on tracking expenses, strengthening cost discipline, and helping different departments manage resources wisely.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain systems and procedures that track costs, control spending, and highlight opportunities for improvement.
• Review financial information, build detailed cost reports, and share actionable insights with management.
• Carry out periodic stock counts and reconciliations to keep inventory records accurate.
• Track budget deviations, report them clearly, and suggest corrective measures where needed.
• Work with department leaders to prepare and oversee department budgets.
• Make sure financial practices align with company rules, accounting standards, and local legal requirements.
• Prepare and check monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements.
• Support initiatives aimed at reducing costs and improving efficiency.
• Keep financial records complete, accurate, and well organized.
• Contribute to forecasting activities and long-range financial planning.
• Evaluate the financial value of proposed projects and investments.
• Train and guide staff on cost control methods and best practices.

Candidate Profile

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline is preferred; a relevant diploma may also be considered when supported by substantial experience.
• Prior hands-on experience in cost control, financial management, or a similar function is required.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, standard practices, and financial analysis.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Exposure to financial management and inventory tools such as Futurelog and Opera is desirable.
• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• High accuracy and careful attention to detail.
• Well-developed organization and time management skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform independently as well as contribute effectively in a team within a busy environment.
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabian financial regulations and practices is an advantage.
• Professional credentials such as CMA or CIMA are preferred.
