About the Role
We are seeking an inventive, ideas-led Content Creator to help shape how the brand appears on social media, with a strong focus on Instagram and TikTok. This is a practical, fast-moving role suited to someone who is constantly noticing trends, developing fresh formats, and happily picking up an iPhone to film on the go.
You will create content across a range of settings, including the office, warehouse, events, streets, and behind-the-scenes moments. The goal is to turn the brand’s identity, values, and personality into content that feels native to each platform while remaining unmistakably true to the brand.
The role is about building a distinct social presence, testing ideas, learning from performance, and producing content that feels authentic, entertaining, and engaging for the community. It is well suited to someone energetic, confident on and off camera, and excited to make a visible impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Come up with original content ideas that increase engagement on Instagram and TikTok, aligned to the wider social media strategy.
- Adapt the brand’s identity, tone, and values into content styles and formats that suit each platform and audience.
- Help define how the brand is presented visually and creatively across Instagram and TikTok while protecting its core essence.
- Film and produce content with an iPhone in varied settings such as the office, warehouse, events, and while out on location.
- Edit short-form content using CapCut or a comparable tool so it feels native to the platform.
- Appear on camera when required and bring energy and personality to content.
- Create reactive, trend-based content quickly and creatively.
- Take part in street interviews, behind-the-scenes captures, GRWM content, and day-in-the-life content.
- Work closely with marketing and brand teams so content supports campaigns and important moments.
- Review performance regularly and refine content based on engagement and results.
- Keep up with social trends, creators, and platform changes, bringing new ideas to the team.
Requirements
- Strong enthusiasm for content creation, social media, and storytelling.
- Good understanding of how Instagram and TikTok differ and how content should be adapted for each.
- A proactive, self-driven approach and the confidence to develop new ideas independently.
- Comfort being both behind and in front of the camera.
- Ability to film in different environments and make decisions quickly on the move.
- Video editing experience with CapCut or a similar tool, plus a solid grasp of short-form content.
- A strong eye for content that stops the scroll and drives attention.
- Willingness to experiment, take creative risks, and try new formats.
- A positive, collaborative, and high-energy attitude.
- Strong interest in beauty and skincare.
Offer and Working Arrangements
This is a full-time position running Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. The workplace is located at Tropic HQ, a short walk from Beddington Lane Tram stop with direct connections to East Croydon and Wimbledon. The setup is hybrid, with a minimum of three days per week in the office.
The starting salary is £26,250 per year. The role begins immediately.
