About the role

What you will do

  • Prepare pastry items for guest orders while maintaining consistent quality and following recipe cards, portion control, production standards, and presentation expectations.
  • Complete mise en place and organize the station for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service.
  • Begin advance-prepared items as needed, while avoiding overproduction beyond forecast demand.
  • Use, care for, and clean kitchen tools and equipment such as fryers, broilers, stoves, steamers, mixers, slicers, ovens, steam tables, tilt kettles, waffle irons, and flat-top grills.
  • Label food containers with dates, follow stock rotation practices, and keep all perishables at the correct temperature.
  • Maintain strong daily preparation standards with consistent quality across all items.
  • Stay current on new ingredients, recipes, and preparation methods.
  • Operate electrical and mechanical kitchen equipment safely and follow all required precautions.
  • Immediately inform the supervisor about hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment needing repair or maintenance.
