Role Summary

This position is for a Café Assistant at the Wigram Village café. The café is described as a welcoming place that acts as a social hub for residents, their families, and visitors. The role suits someone who enjoys hospitality, service, and working in a team-oriented environment.

Key Duties

• Prepare, plate, and serve food and beverages to a consistently high standard.
• Deliver excellent barista service and help maintain strong coffee quality.
• Support catering needs for village events and resident functions.
• Manage cash handling and complete daily takings reconciliation.
• Work alongside the Chef Manager, Café Supervisor, and broader village team to keep service smooth and friendly.

Work Schedule

The roster for this role is Monday 9:30am-6pm, Tuesday 9:30am-3:30pm, Friday 9:30am-3:30pm, Saturday 9:30am-3:30pm, and Sunday 9:30am-6pm.

Requirements

• Background in hospitality or café work.
• Strong barista ability.
• Friendly, warm approach with solid customer service skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
• Comfortable working alone when needed as well as collaborating with others.
