Role Overview

This role supports the training function by leveraging evolving skill requirements and quality improvement efforts to coach Food & Beverage teams in line with F&B values, policies, and operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Training Manager to assess training gaps and identify development needs.
  • Create and share weekly and monthly training schedules, and arrange team participation in F&B training sessions.
  • Make sure the F&B handbook, policy documents, procedure guides, and task breakdowns are current, complete, and distributed to every team member.
  • Ensure every new team member completes F&B orientation and finishes the training checklist within the first week of joining.
  • Maintain accurate records of training attendance for each team member.
  • Communicate F&B standards, policies, and procedures clearly and provide training on them.
  • Help sustain employee productivity and morale while enforcing discipline in line with F&B guidelines and local regulations.
  • Develop and introduce new training programs as needed.

Presentation and Store Management

  • Ensure new joiners understand the correct stock packaging and required stock levels to support sales performance.
  • Maintain strong visual merchandising standards and overall upkeep across the team.
  • Keep team members informed about any changes in stock position or store layout.
  • Ensure all team members follow retail standards consistently.
  • Oversee back-store operations and merchandise replenishment.

Health and Safety

  • Use required protective equipment or clothing whenever necessary.
  • Avoid operating equipment or working in any way that could create risk to others.
  • Follow approved safe work methods and procedures at all times.
  • Ensure the restaurant has an active health and safety program.
  • Make sure team members are informed about hazards and receive proper, documented safety training.
  • Carry out routine workplace inspections.
  • Address unsafe actions and conditions promptly.
  • Report work-related injuries and illnesses to the relevant internal and external authorities.
  • Investigate accidents involving work-related injuries and illnesses.
  • Enforce compliance with the restaurant’s health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Begin performance counseling and disciplinary action when health and safety requirements are not followed.
  • Keep the Area Manager and Sales Operation Manager updated on any hazards or unsafe practices.
  • Recommend improvements to store health and safety practices and programs.
