Analytics Engineer - AI Trainer

About the Role

This position is for experienced quantitative professionals who want to contribute to AI training. You will work directly with advanced AI systems by reviewing AI-produced quantitative analyses, tackling technical challenges, and sharing feedback that helps improve how these models handle data, modeling, and scientific reasoning.

People from many quantitative backgrounds can be a fit, including data science, astrophysics, economics, biostatistics, operations research, and similar fields. If you are comfortable applying rigorous reasoning to data and models, your experience is relevant here. Some contributors use this work alongside another full-time job, while others make it their main focus.

How the Process Works

After creating an account, you will complete a short assessment that functions as the screening step. If you are successful, you will receive an email confirming acceptance, and paid assignments will become available through the platform.

What You’ll Do

Your work will center on improving AI systems through quantitative evaluation, problem-solving, and feedback. The role involves assessing analytical outputs for correctness and practical validity, creating problems for training and benchmarking, and documenting solutions clearly.

• Compensation is hourly, starting at USD 50 to USD 100+ per hour, with bonus pricing on selected projects.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated quantitative work for accuracy, including statistical analysis, predictive modeling, scientific reasoning, and data-driven conclusions.
• Create and solve quantitative tasks that help train and benchmark AI systems, covering forecasting, experimental analysis, optimization, and statistical inference.
• Produce concise technical write-ups and maintain well-structured analytical code.
• Share feedback that contributes directly to the development of stronger AI models for quantitative reasoning.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of practical experience in a quantitative role or research setting such as data science, statistics, economics, finance, physics, biology, epidemiology, operations research, or a related area.
• Working coding ability, including comfort with building and reviewing analytical code from start to finish.
• Hands-on experience with statistical techniques, predictive modeling, and experiment design such as A/B testing, hypothesis testing, regression, classification, and time-series forecasting.
• Strong English communication skills at native or bilingual level, including solid writing ability.
• A bachelor's degree in a quantitative subject is preferred; a master's degree or PhD is an added advantage.
• Additional credentials are beneficial, such as a Kaggle competition ranking, AWS/GCP machine learning certifications, or similar proven expertise.

Payment and Contract Details

Payments are sent through PayPal, and the platform will handle any currency conversion from USD. You will never be asked to pay any money. This is an independent contractor arrangement.
