Valuation Intern

Role overview

You will join the Valuation team in the Finance department at Rocket Internet’s Berlin headquarters. The position places you in a varied, fast-moving, and international environment with strong learning and development opportunities across the Rocket Internet network.

What you will do

• Review business plans, growth opportunities, and financial information for new ventures.
• Assist with valuing portfolio companies.
• Contribute actively to financial models, including Discounted Cash Flow, Option Pricing, and Waterfall Models.
• Carry out competitive benchmarking and market research across private and public markets.
• Support holding-company tasks such as accounting and reporting.

What you should bring

• You are currently enrolled at a university, ideally in a business-related program with a focus on finance.
• Initial experience in consulting, corporate finance, transaction services, or a high-growth startup is preferred.
• You have strong analytical ability and a structured way of thinking, along with a practical, hands-on mindset.
• You work in a driven and energetic manner and are highly goal-oriented.
• You are eager to learn quickly and take initiative.
• You are comfortable using controlling tools and standard MS Office applications, especially Excel.
• You communicate fluently in English; German is an advantage.
