Store Operator - Timaru

About the Role

GrainCorp Feeds is a nationwide animal feed supplier, operating from Hamilton in New Zealand and working directly with corporate and farm customers across the country. The business provides a wide selection of premium liquid and dry dairy and calf feeds designed for different feeding systems and aimed at improving on-farm production, reproduction, performance, and profitability.

At the Timaru Feed Store site, the team is looking for a Store Operator to become part of a small, close-knit group.

Working Hours

This is a full-time position. Usual working hours are between 6:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. From August through February, extended hours are worked to support customers, and these shifts are rostered. Flexibility with working times is therefore required during this period.

Key Duties

• Prepare and load bulk blend products.
• Operate a front-end loader.
• Use a forklift as part of day-to-day operations.
• Carry out bagging tasks and stack pallets.
• Handle some office and paperwork duties.

Experience and Requirements

The ideal applicant will have a current forklift licence with F and W endorsements, along with previous experience in warehousing or logistics. Front-end loader experience is preferred, although it is not essential.

Strong communication skills are important, as is the ability to take direction, work well with others, and perform independently when needed. You must also be comfortable lifting up to 25 kg and have a sound understanding of workplace safety standards.
