Role overview
This position supports the leadership of backroom and unloading operations. The role focuses on solving day-to-day issues, answering team questions, coaching associates, and helping maintain a strong customer experience while making sure assigned work is finished on time. It also includes planning and carrying out department tasks based on workload and store needs, with support on the sales floor when needed.
Key duties
- Deliver courteous, helpful customer service by welcoming shoppers, guiding them to products and services, supporting purchase decisions, and directing concerns to the right person when needed.
- Help coordinate task completion according to priorities shared by the Stocking 1 and 2 Coach and store management.
- Check the condition and presentation of the backroom, identify issues that need correction, and carry out merchandising or stocking changes when required.
- Maintain clear communication with associates and management through planning meetings, lead the daily team huddle at the start of each shift, share updates, set goals, and monitor productivity.
- Make sure high-value merchandise is protected, doors and lockups are secured when not in use, and daily audit requirements are completed.
- Review completed schedules together with the People Lead.
- Walk assigned areas with the Coach and team associates to spot training needs and help develop associates through coaching, teaching, and feedback.
- Support a safe, clean, and hazard-free workplace by following company policies and procedures, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.
- Complete GTA and Workday tasks and provide support to management as needed.
- Work with the Coach and People Lead on performance management, growth discussions, and recruiting or hiring new associates.
Compensation
The starting hourly pay for this role is $19.15.
Minimum qualifications
