Reporting Manager

Role overview

This position leads the creation and execution of integrated reporting systems for major infrastructure and asset programmes. It is centered on digital transformation, using automated reporting tools to deliver accurate, timely, and decision-ready information for leadership.

Reporting and digital transformation

• Implement automated and digital reporting solutions with platforms such as Power BI, PowerApps, and Power Automate.
• Standardize reporting methods across several projects to improve consistency and efficiency.
• Build and maintain a central reporting environment for large, complex portfolios.

Data management and analysis

• Create processes for collecting, validating, and integrating data from multiple stakeholders, contractors, and systems.
• Bring together data and analyse it to produce weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly updates for senior leaders.
• Maintain strong data quality, integrity, and governance across all reporting streams.

Planning and scheduling integration

• Work closely with planning teams to connect and automate Primavera P6 schedule data within reporting workflows.
• Track schedule progress, milestones, delays, and overall delivery performance.
• Convert detailed schedule information into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.

KPI development and performance management

• Design and roll out a broad KPI framework covering financial, commercial, quality, programme, and construction measures.
• Own the KPI lifecycle from definition and alignment through measurement, reporting, and ongoing refinement.
• Ensure KPIs support organisational goals and client expectations.

Dashboards and visualisation

• Create interactive Power BI dashboards that combine information from multiple sources.
• Provide live visibility into performance, risks, and opportunities across projects.
• Continuously improve dashboards to make them easier to use and more effective for decision-making.

Stakeholder management and communication

• Work with clients and stakeholders to understand reporting needs and align delivery accordingly.
• Present trends, insights, and performance summaries to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Develop strong working relationships so data is submitted on time and to the required standard.

Leadership and governance

• Lead the reporting team and support strong performance and ongoing development.
• Set reporting governance, standards, and best practices for the programme.
• Promote continuous improvement in reporting processes and tools.

Candidate profile

A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, data analytics, or a related discipline is required. The role calls for more than 15 years of experience, including at least 5 years in PgMC/PMC managerial roles within project reporting, PMO, or programme controls, ideally in infrastructure or large-scale programmes. Candidates should have proven experience in digital reporting transformation and automation.
