Role overview

Metropolis is looking for a seasoned, highly organized Recruiting Coordinator to lead and continuously improve scheduling and coordination support for the Technical Recruiting team. This person should be comfortable handling a fast pace, many moving parts, and time-sensitive interview logistics across teams and time zones. The role calls for independent judgment, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering a reliable candidate experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Work with recruiters to forecast scheduling needs, manage candidate flow, and align on coordination approach.
  • Organize complex, high-volume technical interview schedules across multiple time zones, including executive interview loops and panel sessions.
  • Quickly solve scheduling conflicts and logistical issues so the hiring process stays on track.
  • Independently work through difficult coordination problems and keep interviews moving forward.
  • Coordinate with Executive Assistants and senior interviewers to manage high-stakes meeting logistics.
  • Act as a main contact for candidates and hiring managers, keeping communication clear and timely throughout the process.
  • Follow up to ensure interview feedback is collected on time and hiring decisions can move forward.
  • Own job postings, requisition updates, and status accuracy in ATS and HRIS platforms such as Greenhouse, Workday, and Dayforce.
  • Keep candidate and hiring data accurate and current across systems.
  • Help build and improve scheduling workflows, communication practices, and other coordination processes.
  • Spot process gaps and introduce improvements that make recruiting operations more efficient and consistent.

What you bring

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 3 years of experience in recruiting coordination or a similar role in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
  • Proven ability to solve problems and make independent coordination decisions with minimal oversight.
  • Strong ability to prioritize, manage several tasks at once, and maintain accuracy.
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information while preserving data integrity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus strong attention to detail.
  • Comfort using Google Workspace at an intermediate level or higher.
  • Awareness of recruiting trends, sourcing approaches, and talent acquisition tools.
  • Ability to identify recruiting process issues and take action to improve them.
  • Confidence influencing stakeholders, driving accountability, and working through ambiguity under pressure.
  • Experience using AI tools to turn static workflows into more responsive, high-output processes.

Work model

This is an office-first position. Team members are expected to work on-site at least four days per week to support collaboration, culture, and the member experience.

Compensation and benefits

The expected hourly pay for this role is $28 to $38 USD per hour. Final pay will depend on factors such as qualifications, relevant experience, education, certifications, licenses, and location.
