QC Engineer

Role overview

Larsen & Toubro is looking for a QC Engineer to work from Chorasi, Gujarat. The role focuses on ensuring quality across fabrication, machining, welding, material intake, and related inspection activities.

Core quality duties

• Carry out inspections using precision measuring tools and verify dimensional accuracy.
• Apply knowledge of assembly, fabrication, welding, and machining processes while checking job quality.
• Perform and understand NDT Level II methods, including Penetrant Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, and Magnetic Particle Testing.
• Assess bought-out components and confirm they meet required specifications.
• Prepare inspection reports, checklists, and record sheets in a structured manner.
• Work with material standards, specifications, and applicable codes during inspection and verification.
• Review surface preparation and painting activities to ensure quality compliance.
• Inspect fasteners and related hardware as part of incoming and in-process quality checks.
• Inspect raw materials such as plates, pipes, bars, and fittings.
• Read and interpret quality certificates and material test certificates received from suppliers.

Technical and process knowledge

• Understand engineering drawings along with welding and machining symbols.
• Handle SAP and GRN-related processing tasks as part of quality record flow.
• Maintain accurate documentation and strong record-keeping practices.

Communication

• Use clear communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and suppliers.
