Role Overview
Mamta Health Institute for Mother and Child is seeking a Project Mobilizer for a community outreach initiative in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. This is a hands-on field position focused on connecting with the trucker community and helping drive access to free physiotherapy and medical support through Transport Arogyam Kendra Clinic.
About the Project
Transport Arogyam Kendra Clinic is a community-oriented program that offers complimentary physiotherapy and medical services to truck drivers and the wider truckers community.
What the Role Involves
The selected candidate will work on the ground to strengthen local engagement, create awareness, and support the project’s outreach efforts. The role is well-suited to someone who is comfortable spending significant time in the field and interacting directly with community stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with transport nagars, lorry associations, and trucker communities to build local connect.
- Identify, track, and document major trucker gathering points across Vijayawada.
- Develop working relationships with NGOs, charitable organizations, and government hospitals.
- Spread awareness about the clinic’s services among the target community.
- Encourage truckers to use the available free medical care services.
- Collect field-level data and prepare regular reports.
Eligibility
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree, with a preference for social work background. Candidates with 2 to 5 years of experience are encouraged to apply, especially those with exposure to the transportation sector. The position requires fluency in Telugu, Hindi, and English, comfort with extensive fieldwork, and ownership of a bike or scooty with a valid driving license.
Additional Information
Compensation for this position is ₹25,000 to ₹30,000 per month. The role is based in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, and requires full-time, on-site work. Interested candidates are expected to share their CV or resume by email.
