Production Team Member

About the rolePapa John’s is hiring a Production Team Member to prepare dough to PJ Food Service quality standards, keep all related equipment clean and sanitized, and make sure dough is handled correctly throughout the process. The second shift also includes sanitation responsibilities. Compensation can go up to $20 per hour.Key responsibilitiesLoad dough balls into sanitized trays according to PJ Food Service procedures.Label trays correctly, stack and down-stack them in the right quantity, and follow tray rotation rules while keeping the proper cooling temperature.Track and maintain GMP cleanliness and sanitation standards so products stay protected from contamination or foreign matter.Pre-soak dough trays and run them through the tray-washing process.Carry out advanced lockout/tagout steps on dough production equipment before cleaning or sanitizing.Wash, rinse, and sanitize all dough-production machinery and the production area after work is finished.Record and approve required dough-production checks such as sanitation, rejection handling, and dough weight.Follow all safety rules, including the correct use of uniforms and safety gear.Handle general housekeeping tasks in the Quality Control Center when needed.Use floor-cleaning equipment for carpets and other flooring surfaces.Work safely with cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment.Follow safety, sanitation, and HACCP requirements along with applicable OSHA, FDA, DOL, federal, state, and local rules, plus company policies.Take on additional duties as assigned.RequirementsHigh school education or an equivalent qualification is preferred.Prior work in a production or manufacturing setting is preferred.Food handling certification is preferred.Ability to read and understand written or spoken instructions and policies in English is required.Good hand-eye coordination is needed.Comfort with repetitive tasks over extended periods is important.Basic math ability is preferred.Basic mechanical aptitude is preferred.Perks and benefitsFully funded online college program through Dough & Degrees for eligible team members.Competitive pay.Paid time off.Comprehensive benefits package.Opportunities to grow within the company.In-store discounts.Additional informationPapa John’s states that this is complex, hands-on work supporting pizza production behind the scenes.
