Principal - Private Equity

Role Overview

We are partnering with a top-tier private equity investor to hire a Principal for its Miami-based investment team. The platform focuses on business services, manufacturing, and industrials, with an emphasis on founder-led businesses and lower-middle to middle-market companies that can benefit from growth capital and operational enhancement.

This is a highly involved investment and leadership opportunity with broad ownership across sourcing, transaction work, and portfolio support inside a lean team environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Assess and lead new investment opportunities across business services, industrials, and manufacturing.
• Own transaction processes from start to finish, including financial analysis, valuation work, diligence, deal structuring, and financing.
• Draft investment committee presentations and communicate investment recommendations clearly.
• Coordinate due diligence with external advisors and management teams.
• Partner with portfolio company leaders on value creation plans, operational upgrades, and growth strategy execution.
• Help identify and pursue add-on acquisitions and platform expansion opportunities.
• Support sourcing through market mapping, thematic research, and direct outreach to potential targets.
• Guide and mentor junior team members on live transactions and analytical tasks.

Candidate Profile

• At least 6 years of private equity investing experience.
• Prior exposure to business services, industrials, or manufacturing investments is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated strength in financial modeling, valuation, and end-to-end deal execution.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial setting with a high level of autonomy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including direct interaction with founders, executives, and senior investors.
• Bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA is advantageous but not essential.
