This role is based in Mecca, Makkah, Saudi Arabia and is a full-time, on-site position.
Role Overview
The merchandiser supports the sales team by improving and protecting product visibility across outlets. The main objective is to strengthen the brand’s presence on shelves and in-store displays. When needed, the role also involves in-store sampling and promotional activity. Compliance with approved planograms is essential for both shelf and off-shelf placements, and any deviation from agreed arrangements must be escalated immediately to the pre-seller. The role also requires sharing timely market insights so that sales opportunities can be used effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit assigned OT outlets each day according to the route plan issued by the supervisor.
- Display SSFL products across the store’s key contact points, shelves, stands and floor displays.
- Place point-of-sale materials wherever they are needed alongside SSFL product displays.
- Make sure all display points follow the approved planograms.
- Manage stock rotation using FIFO and remove products that do not meet standards.
- Keep shelf stock of SSF products clean, fresh and well maintained.
- Observe competitor actions and report them promptly.
- Escalate any differences from the agreed terms with the assigned OT customer or outlet.
- Submit a daily update to the supervisor covering the previous day’s activities.
- Support sampling or redemption campaigns whenever required.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct that aligns with the Frito Lay code of conduct.
Performance Expectations
- Execution standards must be consistently met.
- LTA enforcement is required.
- The daily journey plan must be followed closely.
Experience and Competencies
- A valid driving licence is required.
- The candidate should have a strong service orientation.
- Good communication and interpersonal ability is essential.
Additional Information
When required, the position includes participation in in-store sampling sessions and promotional activities. The role also calls for ongoing reporting of market conditions and competitor movement to support sales performance.
