Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

Role overview

Fengate Asset Management is hiring a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to strengthen planning, forecasting, and performance reporting across the organization. In this position, you will work closely with Business Unit Finance and business leaders to deliver practical analysis, support key decisions, and improve the company’s forecasting and reporting framework.

As part of the Corporate Finance team, you will contribute to high-quality financial planning, budgeting, analytics, cash flow forecasting, KPI reporting, and select strategic finance projects. The role is suited to someone with financial and audit experience, ideally gained in asset management or a comparable investment-focused environment.

The ideal candidate is self-driven, comfortable in a fast-moving environment, highly accountable, detail- and process-oriented, and strong in analytical thinking and problem-solving.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of the annual budget cycle, quarterly forecasts, and consolidated financial analysis.
• Design, refine, and manage budgeting and forecasting processes and models with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain dynamic leveraged cash flow models using inputs from internal stakeholders.
• Review historical and current KPI movements across revenue, expenses, and capital spending to inform strategic and operational decisions.
• Use internal and external inputs, including business partners and ERP data, to strengthen and standardize financial models and explain budget-versus-actual variances.
• Look for opportunities to increase efficiency through process improvements, automation, and AI-enabled tools.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support both strategic and operational needs.
• Work with the Financial Reporting team to improve existing reporting and forecasting infrastructure and create new materials for internal reporting, external reporting, and presentations.
• Assist with the annual external valuation process and quarterly internal valuation updates in collaboration with management, internal teams, and external advisors.

Qualifications

• CPA, CA designation with more than 4 years of progressive experience, preferably in private equity, asset or fund management, infrastructure or real estate investing, or a pension/investment setting.
• Advanced Excel capability and the ability to prepare polished, executive-level presentations and financial documents.
• Strong analytical ability, including sensitivity analysis, risk identification, and development of clear, recommendation-oriented insights.
• Ability to juggle competing priorities and deliver accurate work on tight timelines.
• Well-developed organizational and communication skills, with experience managing several workstreams and aligning stakeholders to deadlines.
• Good judgment and the ability to think critically, solve complex problems, work through ambiguity, and take strong ownership.
• Strong stakeholder orientation, with excellent relationship-building skills and a collaborative approach.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex finance concepts in plain business language for audiences at all levels.
• Experience using NetSuite will be considered an advantage.
