About the Role
Forge Strategies is hiring a practical, hands-on Logistics Manager to take ownership of shipping, receiving, stock control, warehouse activities, and transportation coordination within a growing manufacturing setting. This position suits someone who can combine planning with execution and who enjoys improving processes that keep production moving smoothly and customers satisfied.
Key Responsibilities
- Run the day-to-day flow of shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
- Arrange inbound and outbound freight movement, carrier communication, and delivery timing.
- Keep inventory counts under control and maintain a high level of inventory accuracy.
- Build and sustain effective inventory management methods, including FIFO handling.
- Partner with production, purchasing, and customer service teams to meet operational requirements.
- Monitor logistics performance measures and look for ways to improve them.
- Support adherence to safety rules and internal operating procedures.
- Guide, coordinate, and help develop warehouse and logistics staff.
- Address shipping errors, delivery delays, and transportation problems as they arise.
- Preserve order, flow, and efficiency across warehouse and distribution activities.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, supply chain, or inventory management.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Solid knowledge of inventory management and warehouse workflows.
- Background in coordinating freight, carriers, and shipping paperwork.
- Comfort using ERP platforms, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong leadership, planning, and issue-resolution abilities.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced setting and balance several priorities at once.
