This Housekeeper role supports day-to-day resort operations by cleaning guest units and helping maintain the property’s quality standards. The position is expected to uphold resort standards, respond to guest needs directly or route requests to the right manager when necessary, and consistently deliver a high level of service. The role also requires strict adherence to company safety practices and Canadian occupational health and safety requirements, including WHMIS.

Key Duties

• Clean resort accommodations such as bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and living spaces, while keeping guest areas consistently neat and presentable.
• Vacuum, dust, disinfect, strip beds, make beds, and clean lobbies, kitchens, and bathrooms to required housekeeping standards.
• Prepare, restock, and organize housekeeping carts, and replenish items like toiletries and kitchen supplies.
• Sort, count, fold, mark, and transport linens as needed.
• Remove garbage from guest units and assist with common-area cleaning when units are not yet assigned.
• Protect guest belongings and resort property by following safety precautions and reporting any damage, theft, or lost-and-found items to a supervisor.
• Support guest satisfaction by responding to questions and concerns, resolving issues when possible, and escalating unresolved matters to management.
• Work closely with other departments to encourage teamwork and smooth service delivery.
• Follow operational rules and procedures related to safety, security, guest service, and standard resort operations.
• Demonstrate a positive, service-focused attitude and uphold the company’s “Count On Me” culture.
• Carry out additional tasks as required.

Travel and Training

Travel is not normally required for this position. If off-site training is needed, it will be local and typically last from half a day to a full day.

Requirements

• High school diploma or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
• About six months of relevant housekeeping experience is preferred.
• Good attention to detail and strong organizational ability.
• Comfort working with cleaning products and equipment.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short notes, and memos.
• Strong commitment to guest service.
• Professional presentation with a positive, can-do attitude toward guests and coworkers.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively when needed.
• Working knowledge of general cleaning methods, cleaning chemicals, and cleaning tools/equipment.
• No formal training requirement is specified.
• Where no legal education requirement applies, experience may be considered in place of education.
