Company overview
Direct Fencing is a specialist fencing business that delivers installation and related services for homes and commercial properties. Its work centers on sturdy materials, accurate installation, and dependable completion of projects. The team works with clients to ensure the finished result supports security, privacy, and appearance. High safety standards, dependable conduct, accountability, and pride in workmanship are key expectations across the role.
Role summary
This full-time position is listed as remote, but the work itself happens on client properties and active project sites. The Fence Installer will carry out on-site measuring, set out layouts, prepare work areas, and install different fencing systems including wood, vinyl, chain-link, and metal.
Core duties
The job includes digging post holes, placing posts and fence panels, mixing and pouring concrete, fastening fittings and hardware, and making sure each installation meets the company’s quality and safety standards. The role also requires understanding simple plans or instructions, loading and unloading materials, looking after tools and equipment, and keeping clients and team members informed about progress.
Work practices
The installer will complete any required paperwork, follow all health and safety procedures, and work closely with supervisors and crew leads so each project is finished on time.
Requirements
Applicants should be able to interpret basic construction drawings, measurements, and written instructions. Prior exposure to fencing, construction, landscaping, or other outdoor trades is helpful, though a strong interest in learning is also acceptable. The work is physically demanding and requires lifting, digging, carrying equipment, and working outdoors in changing weather. A careful eye for detail, solid communication skills, and a firm commitment to safe tool and equipment use are important. Reliable transport to job locations is needed, along with a valid driving licence where project requirements call for it. Previous fencing experience is desirable but not essential.
Additional information
Direct Fencing places emphasis on reliable service, attention to detail, and customer care. Team members are expected to take ownership of their work and maintain professional standards on every site.
