About the Company
Amali Properties is a high-end real estate developer established by Mr. Ali Sajwani and Ms. Amira Sajwani. The company is known for creating contemporary luxury homes and destinations through tailored architecture, forward-thinking design, and high-quality execution.
With an expanding collection of ultra-luxury projects across the UAE, Amali is contributing to the evolution of elevated living by delivering distinctive spaces that balance privacy, elegance, and innovation.
Role Overview
This position calls for an experienced Director of Master Planning to set the direction, strategy, and delivery approach for master planning across Amali’s portfolio of ultra-luxury developments. The role focuses on producing exceptional master plans that bring together architecture, landscape, mobility, infrastructure, and community experience, while remaining aligned with the company’s brand, business goals, and development roadmap.
What You Will Do
- Steer the full master planning journey, from early concept creation to authority approvals and final project execution across multiple premium developments.
- Create land-use strategies, development frameworks, density analyses, movement and circulation plans, public-realm concepts, and community planning solutions.
- Coordinate and manage international and local consultants across master planning, urban design, landscape, infrastructure, and architecture.
- Assess site potential, feasibility inputs, highest-and-best-use options, and overall development opportunities to improve project value.
- Champion innovative, sustainable, and future-ready communities that enrich the experience of residents and visitors.
- Make sure architecture, landscape, infrastructure, transport, and public realm elements work together as one integrated vision.
- Review master plans and provide strategic guidance so they remain consistent with Amali’s vision and luxury standards.
- Maintain compliance with local planning laws, authority expectations, zoning rules, and development controls.
- Work closely with Development, Design, Projects, Sales, Marketing, and Construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Deliver presentations on planning concepts, strategies, and recommendations to senior leaders, investors, authorities, and other key stakeholders.
- Track international trends in urban planning, placemaking, sustainability, mobility, and luxury development to keep planning standards ahead of the curve.
- Run regular planning and design review sessions, follow progress, and help resolve planning-related challenges quickly and effectively.
Experience and Skills Needed
The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, or a similar field.
A minimum of 15 years’ experience in master planning, urban design, or large-scale development is required, including time spent in leadership roles.
Experience should include delivery of luxury residential, mixed-use, hospitality, waterfront, island, or large-scale community projects.
You should bring a strong grasp of land-use planning, urban design principles, infrastructure coordination, transportation planning, and placemaking approaches.
Success in this role also requires the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage respected local and international planning and design consultants.
A strong commercial mindset is important, along with the ability to assess feasibility and help unlock maximum land value.
Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities are essential.
Deep familiarity with UAE planning regulations, authority approvals, and development procedures is also necessary.
The role further calls for strategic thinking, an innovation-led mindset, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to high standards of excellence.
Who Should Apply
Professionals with extensive master planning or urban design leadership experience, particularly those who have worked on premium or large-scale developments in the UAE or similar markets, are well suited to this opportunity.
Additional Information
If you have the capability to shape landmark destinations and build world-class communities that redefine luxury living, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to extraordinary developments with long-term impact.
