Role Overview

This role is for a Content Moderator who will help create safe, engaging, and policy-compliant experiences across digital platforms. The position requires careful judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to apply client guidelines consistently while reviewing online content and handling abuse reports.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will review digital material on a computer each day, including videos, news items, photos, political advertisements, and social media profiles. You will evaluate content for age suitability, violence, sexual material, and political transparency, and then apply the client’s policies accurately and consistently.

You will also monitor abuse reports, identify subtle differences in online communication, and escalate issues through the right channels when performance-impacting changes or other concerns arise. The role includes following security protocols, maintaining confidentiality, and meeting project-specific requirements.

As part of the employee experience, you may take part in wellness coaching, counseling sessions, wellness groups, reporting initiatives, and training programs. TaskUs also provides access to wellness and resiliency support, community activities, and team-building events.

Important Content and Work Environment Information

Some campaigns may involve disturbing material. Examples include child exploitation and abuse, animal torture, gang violence, murder, and hate speech. Candidates should understand that exposure to graphic content is an unavoidable part of this work, and that it may contribute to distress or other mental health effects for sensitive individuals.

TaskUs may reassign content moderators to other projects based on staffing needs, employee performance, and similar business considerations.

Requirements

• You should have at least 1 year of prior operations experience in a shared services setup or a customer experience environment.
• A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.
• Strong command of English is necessary, including the ability to read, write, and speak fluently.
• You should bring strong interpersonal skills, solid verbal and written communication abilities, and a high level of empathy.
• Awareness of political and social contexts relevant to the market or region you would support is important.
• You must be comfortable participating in wellness sessions and support programs as part of the role.
