Cleaner

Job Description

The Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment within buildings. This role involves performing extensive cleaning tasks, including floor care, rug shampooing, restroom sanitation and stocking, wall washing, glass cleaning, and waste removal. The position may also require identifying and reporting maintenance needs to management.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine floor maintenance such as vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping various surfaces.
• Dusting a range of fixtures and furniture, including ceilings, lighting, countertops, and movable items.
• Thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, sinks, and kitchen facilities.
• Regularly emptying waste receptacles.
• Cleaning and polishing windows.
• Coordinating with supervisors to ensure adequate stock of cleaning supplies.
• Documenting and reporting any damages or breakages that occur during cleaning activities.

Product/Process Improvement

• Contributing to efforts aimed at minimizing waste and reducing operational costs.

Qualifications

Education & Certifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.

Knowledge & Skills

• Demonstrated experience in a similar cleaning capacity.
• Proficiency in operating various cleaning tools and utilizing different cleaning agents.
• Ability to remain standing for prolonged durations.
• Strong organizational capabilities.

Experience

• A minimum of 1 year of professional cleaning experience is required.
• Previous experience in the UAE or Gulf region is considered an advantage.
