Role overview
GrootNet Software Solutions is seeking a driven Business Development Executive to help expand its IT services and solutions business. This position focuses on finding new prospects, creating sales opportunities, and supporting growth across software development, AI solutions, cloud technologies, and digital transformation services.
What you'll do
- Reach out to potential clients through LinkedIn, email outreach, cold prospecting, and other lead generation channels.
- Build and nurture marketing-qualified leads, then move them toward sales-qualified opportunities.
- Screen prospects using ICP and BANT qualification methods.
- Research markets and profile target accounts to identify the right decision-makers.
- Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator to support prospecting and account-based outreach efforts.
- Maintain accurate lead, activity, and opportunity records in CRM systems.
- Set up discovery meetings and calls for the sales team.
- Work closely with marketing and delivery teams to support business expansion initiatives.
- Keep the pipeline active and monitor outreach performance metrics.
- Follow industry developments and new technologies in the IT services space.
Skills and experience needed
The ideal candidate should have 0 to 1 year of experience in B2B sales, business development, or lead generation, along with a solid grasp of IT services and related technology offerings. Familiarity with lead qualification methods such as MQL, SQL, ICP, and BANT is important. You should also be comfortable with prospecting, pipeline development, CRM usage, and sales outreach tools.
Hands-on exposure to HubSpot or Salesforce, along with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, is expected. Experience with email marketing and sales engagement platforms will be useful. The role also calls for research and data mining skills using tools such as Apollo.io, SalesQL, Lusha, and RocketReach. Strong written and verbal communication, relationship-building ability, and a self-motivated, organized, target-focused approach are essential.
Preferred background
A BBA, MBA, or a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related area is preferred. Prior exposure to sales within IT services, software development, SaaS, AI, or technology consulting will be an added advantage.
