Responsibilities

  • Handle the bell logger with a strong focus on safety and care at all times.
  • Carry out pre-shift checks each day to confirm the machine is safe to operate and can be moved to the harvesting area without issues.
  • Operate the equipment skillfully while stacking logs at the landing point.
  • Stay alert throughout the workday, coordinate hand, eye, and foot movements well, and respond to signals from coworkers.
  • Fill in the daily production and mechanical downtime records and submit them to the Harvesting Supervisor.
  • Sort and arrange timber products according to required specifications.
  • Keep the landing/depot area clean and, where possible, avoid using forest roads unnecessarily.
  • Do not operate in designated special management zones or drainage areas.
  • Support the extraction of trees located near landing sites.

Eligibility and requirements

  • Must hold a valid Class E driver’s licence.
  • Should be able to work on their own with minimal supervision.
  • Minimum education of a Junior High School certificate.
  • Must be physically and mentally fit for the work.
