Barista

About the Role

Starbucks is looking for a part-time barista for Store #04462 in Canmore, Alberta. In this role, you will help create a welcoming café experience by preparing beverages and food items to standard, delivering attentive service, and supporting the day-to-day flow of a busy store.

The workplace is energetic and customer-facing, with a strong focus on teamwork, quality, and community connection. As part of the store team, you will be expected to contribute to a positive environment for customers and fellow partners alike.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, high-quality service.
• Prepare coffee, beverages, and food items according to standard recipes and customized customer requests.
• Handle cash, follow store safety practices, and help maintain security standards.
• Work across multiple store tasks during each shift as needed.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and ready for service.
• Communicate clearly with customers and teammates to support a smooth store experience.

Experience and Qualifications

• No prior work experience is required.
• You must be available for flexible scheduling, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.
• You should be able to follow store policies and standards related to beverages, food quality, cash handling, safety, and security.
• You need to be able to understand customer needs and respond with clear, pleasant communication.
• You should be able to work independently and as part of a team while managing several responsibilities in one shift.
• You must be able to carry out verbal and written instructions and ask for clarification when needed.
