Role summary
This position sits within US Regulatory Services and focuses on the accurate, timely, and complete submission of reports to exchanges, self-regulatory organizations, and the SEC. The role blends daily operational delivery with broader ownership of planning and process improvement in the relevant reporting area.
What you will do
- Handle day-to-day regulatory reporting activities and make sure the required procedures are followed for the assigned reports, which may include Electronic Blue Sheets (EBS), CAT (Consolidated Audit Trail), CAIS (Customer and Account Reporting), SEC 13DG and H, LOPR, Short Interest, TRACE, MSRB, and other reports assigned by the manager.
- Act as a final reviewer for selected regulatory reporting submissions when needed.
- Provide escalation support for junior or less experienced colleagues when issues become complex.
- Help design and roll out controls that support report accuracy, completeness, and timeliness, and work through any exceptions found.
- Support prioritization of reporting issues and, where needed, contribute to requirements development.
- Prepare presentations for different stakeholders covering achievements, reporting statistics, and related information.
- Assist with impact reviews for system or business changes.
- Contribute ideas and actions that improve processes over time.
- Create, update, and maintain operating procedures as needed.
- May oversee the daily work of junior staff and provide backup coverage for the Team Manager during absences.
What you need to bring
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification is required, preferably in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of financial products such as equities, listed derivatives, fixed income, and/or OTC derivatives.
- Understanding of the trade lifecycle, including orders, executions, and allocations.
- Basic familiarity with middle office trade processing.
- Management experience is considered an advantage.
- Strong command of MS Word, Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to stay effective under pressure, adapt quickly to changes, and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining quality under tight timelines.

Work details
The role is based at RBC Centre, 155 Wellington St W, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The standard schedule is 37.5 hours per week. This is a regular full-time position in the Capital Markets platform with salaried pay.
