Role overview
This position is responsible for handling industrial relations and site administration activities at the Bengaluru location. The role centers on legal compliance, labour welfare, record maintenance, and support for day-to-day site operations.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure that all mandatory actions under relevant labour laws are started on time and maintained in line with statutory requirements.
- Oversee payment of statutory minimum wages and assess whether skill grades or wage rates need to be revised.
- Organize and provide medical first aid for site workmen whenever the need arises.
- Put up the required statutory notices as per labour law provisions and update them whenever regulations change.
- Maintain proper cleanliness and hygiene across labour camps, site canteens, sanitary facilities, and rest areas.
- Carry out all rules, procedures, and directives applicable under various statutes, including management-issued instructions.
- Prepare statutory registers and keep accurate leave records for employees.
- Prepare reports, including daily manpower reporting related to labour, and coordinate with labour and local people to ensure workers receive appropriate care and welfare support.
- Handle general administration tasks such as coordinating with suppliers and vendors, making local purchases, arranging accommodation, supervising mess operations, and organizing vehicle support for staff.
