Role overview
This full-time Store Driver role is based in Pembroke, Ontario and supports store operations by handling deliveries, customer interactions, stock movement, and day-to-day retail upkeep.
Key duties
- Collect, prepare, and deliver auto parts safely to professional customers.
- Retrieve returns and core items from customers.
- Distribute weekly and monthly sales flyers while encouraging active promotions and loyalty initiatives.
- Handle daily collection activity for credit accounts.
- Strengthen working relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers, and share delivery-based customer insights with the CPP.
- Support upselling and cross-selling efforts to help raise average order value.
- Keep the store clean, including floors, restrooms, facing, dusting, and the parking lot.
- Assist with stocking tasks such as truck unloading, back stock organization, and cycle counts.
- Stay current on inventory and incoming products to better support sales efforts.
- Greet walk-in customers, understand what they need, and suggest suitable parts or services.
- Take on other assigned responsibilities as needed.

Required skills and abilities
- Ability to speak and write in English; Spanish is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills for building relationships with customers, peers, and leaders.
- Ability to read safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance guides, parts catalogues, and procedure manuals.
- Basic arithmetic skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across different units and number formats.
- Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends as required.
- Confidence when approaching customers and promoting products.
- Willingness to learn new products and selling approaches.
Experience and education
Previous automotive parts experience is preferred. A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.
Licence requirements
A valid driver's licence with an acceptable driving record is mandatory.
Physical requirements
This role involves regular standing and walking. The position also requires speaking, hearing, and the use of hands and fingers for handling or feeling, reaching, climbing or balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Employees must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and may occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds with assistance. Required vision capabilities include close, distance, and colour vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work environment
The role is mainly performed indoors, though some tasks may take place outdoors in different weather conditions, such as installing batteries and wiper blades. The work may also involve exposure to moving machinery, heights, hazardous chemicals, electrical shock risk, explosives, vibration, and moderate noise.
Compensation and benefits
The expected hourly pay for a new team member is CAD 17.60 to CAD 18.85. The final rate depends on factors such as location, retail experience, automotive knowledge, education, leadership background, other relevant skills, and shift differential where applicable.
