Role overviewThis position supports the senior sales team in executing sales and marketing plans while improving customer experience, studying market conditions, and following established policies and procedures to help deliver business goals aligned with the organisation’s wider objectives.Core responsibilitiesAssist with market research and competitor review to spot demand shifts, growth opportunities, and promising leads as planned.Contribute to end-use studies that assess market potential, performance needs, and growth patterns to help position current product grades and introduce new ones.Share inputs with the PH and RM teams on NSR improvement and pricing by regularly engaging with customers and channel partners about open-market pricing, market trends, and international offers.Periodically understand customer business direction, capacity expansion, and investment plans to support customer segmentation inputs.Monitor co-producers’ business activities, product availability, commercial terms, and trade conditions, and keep the business informed of new developments.Work with the senior team member to prepare monthly and annual sales plans, track actual customer off-take against the plan, and report deviations for the territory.Drive daily order generation by following up with customers and channel partners, and focus on higher-NSR grades in the assigned geography.Build category-wise customer coverage plans that define visit frequency for value-added services and submit visit reports through the eCRM system.Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to collect statutory documents such as C Forms, authenticated excise invoices, letters for service tax discharge, company grouping documents, ARE Forms, and similar records required by policy.Prepare commercial proposals with the senior team member for cases such as MOU defaults and QD cases.Keep customers informed about dispatches, order status, and stock transfer movements to regional depots.Update customers and channel partners on production schedules, material availability across manufacturing locations, price changes, MOU schemes, and signings.Address customer claims by acknowledging them promptly and providing updates, escalation, or resolution within the agreed service timelines.Support onboarding of new customers through activities such as handholding, master creation, grade selection, DCA tie-up, and technical guidance.Help organise CRMs, seminars, workshops, exhibitions, and similar activities intended to generate incremental business as planned.Collect finished product and raw material samples to improve customer service levels.Track customer overdue balances and follow up for payment recovery.Performance focusCustomer penetration achieved.Stock ageing maintained within the target number of days.Customer engagement activities completed as per target.Stakeholder interactionInternal: Project team, production team.External: Channel partners, vendors, customers, consultants.Education and experienceThe role expects a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in Chemical, Polymer, Textile, or Mechanical, along with an MBA.
