Product Manager, Google Home

About the RoleThis position sits within the Google Home team, where the goal is to build a more intelligent and supportive home experience for users. The work spans hardware, software, and services across connected home products such as thermostats, smart displays, and other devices that help homes become more useful and proactive.As a Product Manager, you will help connect technical possibilities with business goals, shaping products that can be taken from an early idea through launch. The role calls for someone who can simplify complex systems, collaborate across disciplines, and make product choices that improve the experience for millions of users.What You Will DoHelp shape the product vision and roadmap for an important feature area within Google Home, turning broader strategy into detailed product requirement documents.Own the full lifecycle for selected features and initiatives, ensuring they fit well within the larger Google Home ecosystem.Work closely with Engineering, UX, Program Managers, and other partners to coordinate priorities, align resources, and remove blockers.Set, monitor, and interpret key performance metrics, combining data analysis and user feedback to guide trade-offs and product improvements.Push for fast, high-quality execution by improving workflows, helping triage issues, and supporting launches that meet a strong standard for trust and reliability.Minimum QualificationsA bachelor's degree or equivalent hands-on experience.At least 5 years of experience in product management or a similar technical role.At least 2 years of experience bringing technical products from concept to launch.Preferred QualificationsA master's degree in a technology-focused or business-related field.Experience turning technical details such as cloud APIs, mobile platforms, or IoT connectivity standards into simple user experiences.Background in smart home, IoT, mobile applications, or consumer technology.Proven success working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.Strong problem-solving ability, including experience with A/B testing, telemetry setup, and data-driven decision-making.Additional InformationGoogle is committed to being an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer.
