Network Engineer

Overview

This is a short-term network engineering assignment for a client in Abu Dhabi. The role is site-based and runs for one month as a vacation replacement opportunity.

What you will handle

• Oversee the company’s network environment and keep core infrastructure running reliably.
• Support and administer routing and switching equipment, including Cisco Nexus 7000, Nexus 93180YC, Catalyst 9400, 9500, and 9300 switches, along with Cisco ASR 1001-X and Cisco 8200 routers.
• Maintain the wireless network stack, covering Cisco Catalyst 9800-CL Wireless Controllers and Cisco Meraki deployments.
• Work with network access, monitoring, and automation tools such as Cisco ISE for 802.1X authentication and endpoint profiling, PRTG Network Monitor, and Cisco DNA Center.
• Support the IPTV multicast network and ensure it remains operational.
• Administer public DNS services hosted on Microsoft Azure.
• Handle IT asset discovery, inventory, and lifecycle tracking through Lansweeper.
• Manage internet connectivity services for the enterprise, including dedicated internet circuits, WAN links, ISP coordination, bandwidth oversight, upgrade handling, troubleshooting, and incident closure.

Additional preference

Experience with Cisco IP telephony management and audio/video conferencing or collaboration solutions will be considered an advantage.
