Role Overview

This opening is for an Executive Level N in the Quality Assurance team at the Visakhapatnam location. The role sits within the Supply Chain function and is focused on checking, testing, documenting, and improving quality processes across raw materials, production, and related shop-floor activities.

Core Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor modern lab and analytical equipment such as GC, HPLC, FTIR, particle size analyzers, pH meters, and melting point testing instruments.
• Review raw material characteristics and understand their function in the process.
• Perform daily inspection and testing of incoming raw materials and intermediates.
• Handle rejection procedures for raw materials when required.
• Support troubleshooting for equipment-related issues.
• Prepare and maintain quality records and documentation.
• Keep machine areas and the shop floor clean and hygienic.
• Create breakdown notifications in Maintain/SAP whenever needed.
• Complete required SAP transactions and maintain process records accurately.
• Track consumable availability, raise requisitions from Stores, and monitor stock levels in the section.
• Ensure compliance with QMS, EMS, and SMS standards, along with proper documented records.
• Compile month-end standardization MIS reports for water-based paints and emulsions.
• Analyze data to identify improvement opportunities and support monthly sectional reviews.
• Carry out AIG analysis, trend analysis, raw material addition accuracy analysis, and manufacturing efficiency analysis.
• Raise SFI and DCR wherever applicable.
• Participate in process assurance audits across different sections.
• Conduct microbial analysis of raw materials, production equipment, and finished goods.
• Support calibration and preventive maintenance of instruments.
• Test process water as required.
• Maintain hygiene in the production and packing areas, raw material storage tanks vulnerable to microbial issues, and the microbiology lab.

Requirements

• Diploma in Chemical is required for this role.
• Relevant experience of 1 to 3 years is expected.
• Hands-on knowledge of analytical and testing instruments is necessary.
• Working familiarity with SAP transactions and maintenance notifications is needed.
• Strong understanding of raw materials, quality systems, and shop-floor hygiene standards is important.
• Ability to manage testing, documentation, audits, and routine reporting is required.
