About the Role
House of Consulting Office for Consulting Engineers Co. (HCO) is a multidisciplinary consultancy in Saudi Arabia that offers architectural, engineering, planning, and project management services. The company is hiring an experienced Electrical Engineer in Riyadh to contribute to a major construction assignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and track electrical construction work across all stages of the project.
- Examine electrical design packages, shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements.
- Verify that all work aligns with project requirements, electrical regulations, technical standards, quality expectations, and safety rules.
- Carry out site visits and check that electrical installations match the approved design.
- Manage work related to high-voltage, medium-voltage, power distribution, and low-current systems.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, project managers, and other stakeholders to keep delivery on track.
- Inspect and monitor ELV systems such as fire alarm, CCTV, access control, LAN, telephone, public address, audio visual, CATV, and BMS.
- Offer technical support and help close out site electrical issues.
- Apply quality control procedures and maintain project standards throughout execution.
- Draft inspection notes, technical records, and progress updates.
- Assist project teams in meeting schedule targets, quality goals, and operational needs.
- Coordinate and direct onsite activities to support smooth and efficient project completion.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction and engineering projects.
- Prior experience with Project Management Consultancy (PMC) firms is required.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution networks, and low-current systems.
- Good grasp of electrical codes, standards, quality assurance, and safety requirements.
- Experience reviewing design documents, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
- Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, site-based environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering tools/software.
- Fluent English is required; Arabic is an added advantage.
