Role overview

Skyfall Blue is expanding its team and is seeking 1 to 2 content creators based in Ottawa to support restaurant and local business clients. The work is focused on producing engaging short-form video content directly on site.

What the role involves

You’ll be responsible for filming food, people, behind-the-scenes moments, and trend-driven Reels or TikTok-style clips. The expectation is to either provide raw footage or turn over quick, simple edits with a fast turnaround.

This position is not for a full social media manager. The internal team takes care of strategy, branding, captions, visual design, and overall client communication. The need here is for someone with strong creative instincts, a natural on-camera style, and the ability to produce content that feels timely and authentic.

Ideal candidate profile

• Lives in or around Ottawa
• Confident shooting content for Instagram Reels and TikTok
• Stays current with social media trends, hooks, sounds, and short-form formats
• Can independently research and propose content ideas instead of waiting for detailed instructions
• Enjoys creating food, lifestyle, and behind-the-scenes visuals
• Can take creative direction and tailor it to different clients
• Works in an organized, dependable way and can share content promptly
• Has basic editing ability, which is an advantage

Work arrangement

The engagement may begin as part-time, freelance, or per shoot. There is also potential for recurring monthly work if the fit is right.
