Deployment Associate

About the role

Shift4 is a commerce technology company that streamlines complex payment environments and processes billions of transactions each year for a wide range of businesses. The company is looking for a Deployment Associate to support the preparation and dispatch of POS and credit card equipment.

This position is based on-site in Coolum Beach, Queensland, Australia.

What you will do

• Set up, image, and tailor POS terminals and credit card hardware to required specifications.
• Program devices, carry out testing, prepare items for shipment, and coordinate packing and dispatch of equipment, accessories, and consumables.
• Process daily fulfillment requests, accept incoming stock, and keep inventory records accurate.
• Handle tasks independently and deliver against tight timelines in a busy operational setting.
• Use the supplied instructions and procedures to troubleshoot and fix operational problems quickly.
• Build and maintain working knowledge of internal processes, procedures, and how the department supports broader company operations.
• Take on additional duties as needed.

What you need

• A high school certificate or an equivalent qualification is required.
• Professional certifications such as A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft credentials are an advantage.
• Experience in the credit card industry, either acquiring or issuing, is preferred.
• Comfort using Word, Excel, Access, Windows-based tools, and email.
• Willingness to work some evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Strong planning skills and the ability to stay effective under pressure while working alone.
• Capability to lift 5–10 kg regularly, up to 15 kg from time to time, and up to 25 kg occasionally.
• Ability to manage shipments, wrap pallets, and use hand trucks or pallet jacks.
• Experience with testing, cleaning, and sorting items for return merchandise authorization or reuse.
• Consistent attendance and performance that meets workplace standards.
