Data Analyst

Role overview

This contract Data Analyst position with Dexian Asia Pacific is based onsite in Singapore. The role focuses on turning data into decisions, strengthening reporting capabilities, and supporting operational performance across the business.

What you will do

• Shape and execute data-led strategies that guide business choices and drive operational gains at scale.
• Develop, test, and roll out advanced analytical models and prototypes that uncover insights from large, complex datasets.
• Work with tools such as SQL, Tableau, Hive, Presto, and other big data technologies to deliver analysis and reporting solutions.
• Coach and support data scientists and analysts while encouraging a strong learning and performance culture.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leaders.
• Build and sustain reliable reporting frameworks, dashboards, and metrics that help the support organization scale efficiently.
• Spot improvement opportunities and promote better practices in analytics and data science.

Experience and technical requirements

The position calls for 2 to 4 years of experience supporting operations in a technical environment, along with a solid grasp of operational metrics and KPIs used to measure team performance.

Strong hands-on ability in SQL is essential, including writing, tuning, and maintaining complex queries. Experience with big data and analytics tools such as Tableau, Hive, Presto, R, and Python is also important.

You should be comfortable translating complex data into clear business stories and strategic suggestions, and you will need a strong understanding of reporting structures, data pipeline architecture, and data visualization best practices.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, especially when influencing stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
