Overview
This position is with an AI-focused intelligence and research business that is creating a global standard for measuring AI adoption across banking and insurance. The company is expanding quickly, has support from leading technology investors, and has received coverage from major media. The data function sits at the centre of the organisation and plays a critical role in its growth.
The role is based in the Chancery Lane area of London, with a hybrid working pattern of three office days per week. Compensation is advertised at up to £55,000 to £60,000 per year.
What you will do
You will collaborate with teams across the business to build self-serve data resources, streamline and automate index-related processes, and produce reliable, high-quality datasets. The role spans both analytical and data-engineering-adjacent work, giving you exposure to the full data lifecycle.
Key strengths needed
The ideal hire has a strong track record of working with business stakeholders, is confident using SQL and/or Python, and pays close attention to data accuracy and governance. Clear communication, strong stakeholder handling, and a real interest in AI are all important for success in this role.
Must-have requirements
- Solid ability in SQL or Python; experience with both is preferred.
- Background in creating and maintaining analysis-ready datasets and automated data processes.
- Strong focus on detail, especially around data quality and governance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Genuine enthusiasm for AI, ideally shown through work or personal projects.
Nice-to-have experience
- Exposure to dashboarding or BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or Omni.
- Familiarity with cloud environments, ideally Google Cloud Platform.
- Previous experience in financial services or consulting.
- Knowledge of Google Apps Script or JavaScript.
- Comfort working in small, fast-moving, scaling teams.
