Staff Software Engineer, Full-Stack

Responsibilities

• Design and architect reliable, high-performance software solutions that align with business needs and internal standards.
• Set and influence technical direction, architecture choices, and engineering strategy.
• Build systems that manage event-driven data flows and handle events dependably at scale.
• Improve the speed, scalability, and reliability of existing platforms by identifying and removing performance issues.
• Stay actively involved in hands-on development while maintaining high standards for code quality and maintainability.
• Guide, support, and mentor junior engineers and contribute technical leadership within the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 10 years of hands-on software engineering experience with a strong focus on scalable system design and development.
• Experience with modern technologies such as JavaScript, Go, Docker, and cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong working knowledge of JavaScript fundamentals, design patterns, subscriptions, WebSockets, Pub/Sub, TypeScript, and related technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to solve difficult problems in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design principles, and documentation practices.
• Analytical thinking and the ability to develop practical solutions to complex technical issues.
• Prior experience leading engineers, mentoring teammates, and helping teams grow.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with engineers and other stakeholders.
• Open attitude toward learning new tools and technologies and growing into a lead-level engineering role.
• Preferred experience includes working as a Staff or Principal Software Engineer in a large-scale product company.
• Preferred experience also includes building web applications, troubleshooting production systems, and working with CI/CD tools such as AWS CodePipeline or GitHub Actions.
