Senior Engineering Manager

Role overview

This position leads the technical and operational execution of dosing systems in industrial settings. It requires solid engineering expertise, especially in electrical, electronics, or mechatronics, along with deep hands-on exposure to dosing equipment. The role covers installation, fault diagnosis, commissioning, and ongoing technical guidance for sales and application teams. It also involves leading diverse teams across multiple regions and driving projects from the pre-order stage through final completion.

Key responsibilities

• Apply strong mechanical knowledge of dosing systems used for boilers, cooling towers, and upstream/downstream processes, while also bringing basic understanding of electrical and instrumentation work, field installation, and commissioning.
• Support sales and application engineers with the technical inputs they need to move opportunities and projects forward.
• Own the design and detailing work for feed and dosing projects from the pre-order phase through to project closeout.
• Set priorities for the team and ensure people, time, and resources are assigned effectively so delivery stays on track.
• Build and execute preventive maintenance plans for all equipment covered under the role.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for customer-site equipment and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Understand plant process requirements, including chemical/operational output standards and operating philosophy.
• Interpret drawings and manuals accurately and carry out work accordingly.
• Communicate clearly, report effectively, and manage internal and external stakeholders under pressure.

Qualifications and experience

• Engineering degree in electrical engineering, electronics and communication, or mechatronics.
• Strong command of both English and Arabic.
• 12 to 15 years of experience in the dosing equipment sector.
• At least 5 years of experience in an industrial environment.
• Practical exposure to electrical and mechanical installation and troubleshooting.
• Previous leadership experience managing multicultural teams across different geographies.
• Prior experience in a multinational organization is preferred.
