Role Overview
1855 F&B is hiring a Restaurant Captain for its Singapore location. This is a full-time, on-site hospitality role focused on delivering smooth table service, coordinating guest requests, and maintaining high standards across the dining area.
Guest Service
- Welcome guests quickly and courteously, creating a warm first impression.
- Support guests with reservations and seating arrangements.
- Respond to menu-related questions and help diners choose suitable dishes and beverages.
- Stay alert to unexpected guest needs and handle them with tact and speed.
- Share special meal instructions, allergies, dietary restrictions, and custom requests with the kitchen team.
Food & Beverage Service
- Deliver food and drinks to tables in line with service expectations.
- Set up tables according to the event type and established service standards.
- Clear used dishes, glassware, and other service items and return them to the correct area.
Restaurant Operations
- Maintain a tidy and orderly workspace throughout the shift.
- Keep both front-of-house and back-of-house areas clean and well organized.
- Follow brand guidelines and standard operating procedures without exception.
- Carry out the assigned duties for each shift and complete end-of-shift closing tasks, including replenishing supplies.
- Perform monthly checks of operating tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Take on any other food and beverage service responsibilities assigned by the Restaurant Manager.
