About the company

CXC Upstream is a fully integrated mining business and a major gold producer in the region, with operations centered in Geita, Tanzania, a highly productive gold-mining area. The group runs four mining locations, including a significant mountain-based gold asset backed by more than 50 years of proven gold reserves. Its activities cover the full mining value chain.

In addition to its mines, the group operates a dedicated precious metals processing plant, owns an in-house fleet of specialist mining equipment, and has private aviation support to help move people, machinery and materials efficiently across the business. Its governance, ESG oversight and operational transparency follow the principles encouraged by the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM).

About the role

The Relationship Manager will focus on building and sustaining productive relationships with important internal and external stakeholders across CXC Upstream’s mining operations. This role acts as a dependable contact point for suppliers, contractors, service partners and other business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, smooth coordination and high-quality service delivery aligned with the group’s strategic priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and nurture effective working relationships with suppliers, contractors and other key stakeholders.
• Act as the main contact for assigned accounts and make sure communication and issue handling happen promptly.
• Work closely with procurement, operations and project teams so services meet contractual and operational expectations.
• Track stakeholder satisfaction and look for ways to improve partnerships and service quality.
• Arrange meetings, periodic reviews and ongoing engagement with important partners.
• Handle escalations in a professional manner and help resolve operational or commercial concerns quickly.
• Keep stakeholder details, communication records and engagement plans accurate and up to date.
• Contribute to supplier performance management efforts and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Prior background in relationship management, account management, stakeholder engagement or commercial operations, preferably in mining, industrial services, infrastructure or engineering.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Good organisational capability with the ability to manage several stakeholder relationships at the same time.
• Comfortable working across multiple teams in a fast-moving operational setting.
• A professional, business-minded and practical problem-solving approach.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with CRM or stakeholder tracking tools is a plus.
