About the role

The Relationship Manager will focus on building and sustaining productive relationships with important internal and external stakeholders across CXC Upstream’s mining operations. This role acts as a dependable contact point for suppliers, contractors, service partners and other business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, smooth coordination and high-quality service delivery aligned with the group’s strategic priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture effective working relationships with suppliers, contractors and other key stakeholders.
  • Act as the main contact for assigned accounts and make sure communication and issue handling happen promptly.
  • Work closely with procurement, operations and project teams so services meet contractual and operational expectations.
  • Track stakeholder satisfaction and look for ways to improve partnerships and service quality.
  • Arrange meetings, periodic reviews and ongoing engagement with important partners.
  • Handle escalations in a professional manner and help resolve operational or commercial concerns quickly.
  • Keep stakeholder details, communication records and engagement plans accurate and up to date.
  • Contribute to supplier performance management efforts and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Prior background in relationship management, account management, stakeholder engagement or commercial operations, preferably in mining, industrial services, infrastructure or engineering.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
  • Good organisational capability with the ability to manage several stakeholder relationships at the same time.
  • Comfortable working across multiple teams in a fast-moving operational setting.
  • A professional, business-minded and practical problem-solving approach.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with CRM or stakeholder tracking tools is a plus.
