Role overview
The Human Resource Associate Partner supports the management team by handling day-to-day administrative work and routine operational activities within the site.
Core responsibilities
- Review system alerts, clear flags, and evaluate attendance points for associates when absences are not excused.
- Gather and organize time-off request forms from managers and associates, and obtain manager approvals for vacation requests when required.
- Apply the correct coding for paid and unpaid non-working time, including vacation (vacp), paid personal time (pers), voluntary time off (vto), and lack of work (low).
- Update point records for staffing agency associates as instructed by Amazon Human Resources.
- Adjust attendance points for Amazon associates based on direction from site leadership or Human Resources.
- Locate, track, and match missing clock-in, clock-out, and lunch punches.
- With manager approval, remove mismatches tied to Time Off Task flags.
- Enter orientation punches for newly hired staffing agency workers.
- Upload corrective action records into the Amazon GAPS system.
- Look up prior counseling history when needed to verify the next counseling level, earlier dates, or to prepare a summary of performance history for termination recommendations.
- Prepare and submit counselings for Amazon employees and staffing agency associates, including tracking approvals and printing copies for managers to deliver to Amazon associates.
- Print attendance counselings issued by HR and combine them with other counseling documents so managers receive a complete set.
- Print and post shift rates for all associates according to the scheduled timing.
- Respond to associate questions about points, vacation time, paid personal time balances, and escalate discrepancies to HR for resolution.
Additional responsibilities
- Support safety and dock audits, including typing and publishing them for managers when needed.
- Assist managers in running and tracking production reports, updating operations reports, and handling report-building projects.
Qualifications
- At least 6 months of experience in human resources.
- At least 6 months of experience using Microsoft Office products and applications.
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification.
Preferred profile
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- 1 or more years of human resources experience is preferred.
