Full-Time Keyholder

For the Pickering, Ontario store, the Keyholder plays an important role in delivering strong store execution, supporting customer service, and helping keep daily operations running smoothly. The role is centered on creating a positive shopping experience, promoting the right products and services for pets, and supporting the store's goals for growth, safety, compassion, expertise, and efficiency.

Starting pay: $17.95 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle cashier duties and support customer purchases at the register.
• Complete merchandise ordering paperwork, banking-related tasks, and other routine administrative work.
• Stock smaller items, including pet supplies and household goods, in the sales area; these items are under 10 lbs.
• Carry out general upkeep such as sweeping and dusting, along with other store maintenance tasks.
• Help unload delivery trucks and move pet food and supply cases and bags into stock; items may weigh up to 50 lbs.
• Open and close the store correctly while following company procedures.
• When the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager is unavailable, help set daily objectives and assign tasks to ACEs.
• Take on additional duties as needed to support store operations.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in retail or customer-facing work.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
• Friendly, approachable demeanor with solid customer service ability.
• Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Availability for a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to and from the store is required.
• A valid driver's license may be needed.
