Role overview
The Event Executive position supports sales and marketing operations for a hotel environment in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on handling guest and sales-related communication, organizing information, and helping drive revenue while maintaining strong guest relationships and service standards.
Key duties
- Keep the information board updated regularly so employees stay informed about important events.
- Support team members who need help meeting their job responsibilities, such as low package sales performance.
- Route incoming lead calls or emails to Sales Executives according to the line rotation process.
- Build and maintain spreadsheets and other records for sales and marketing activities, including mailing lists and tour-related details.
- Enter, review, reconcile, and validate data in sales-related software systems.
- Reach out to the appropriate person or department to resolve guest calls, requests, and issues.
- Help strengthen awareness of the brand both inside and outside the property.
- Use selling methods that increase revenue while protecting guest loyalty, including upselling where appropriate.
- Encourage guests and callers to buy or schedule preview package sales and tours, and respond to questions about facilities and services.
People and service support
- Assist managers with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, counseling, disciplining, and motivating staff.
- Act as a role model and the first contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to the manager without delay.
- Follow all company procedures and policies, and maintain a neat, professional appearance.
- Protect company property and assets.
- Anticipate guest needs, support guests with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation to guests.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, including by phone and in written documents.
- Build positive working relationships with colleagues and uphold quality standards.
- Identify and help implement improvements that raise organizational quality.
- Read and verify information in multiple formats and complete other duties assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
Candidates should have at least a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience. No supervisory background is required, and no license or certification is needed.
