E-Commerce Shipper

Role overview

This position is responsible for preparing customer orders for shipment within the e-commerce operation. The role focuses on accurately selecting items, packing them securely, and sending them out through parcel carriers.

Key duties

• Pick, pack, and ship items sold through the online sales channels.
• Work toward the shipping targets set by management.
• Identify mistakes or processing issues and handle them correctly, involving a teammate when needed.
• Keep the work area orderly, clean, and efficient.
• Work additional hours when business needs require it.
• Perform tasks independently with minimal supervision.
• Take on other related assignments as directed by management.

Physical demands

• The job involves repeated moderate to heavy lifting, with items weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Employees must be able to remain on their feet and walk for extended periods.
• Work may take place in areas with changing temperature conditions.
• Use of ladders or other equipment may occasionally be necessary.

Education and schedule

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. The standard schedule is 40 hours per week, from 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime as needed. Saturday overtime may also be required. Work may include Memorial Day, Labor Day, and other holidays when necessary.

Reporting line

This role reports directly to the E-Commerce Operations Manager.
