Role overview
This is a senior creative design opportunity based in London, offering the chance to own the full design function for an organisation. The role blends hands-on design delivery with creative leadership, supporting a refreshed brand and producing engaging work across digital, print, motion and video.
You will act as a multidisciplinary designer with responsibility for visual direction, brand consistency and a busy stream of creative projects. Alongside your own design output, you will also support and guide one direct report while collaborating closely with teams across the business.
Key duties
- Lead the brand and design capability, keeping output visually consistent and creatively strong across every channel.
- Develop and maintain the organisation’s visual identity, including colour systems, typography, design rules and practical application.
- Support the launch and adoption of a refreshed brand across internal teams and external materials.
- Produce standout creative assets for websites, social media, print collateral, events and presentations.
- Turn briefs into polished, concept-driven designs that support campaign and organisational objectives.
- Create and refine visual content for digital experiences, including website pages and landing pages.
- Guide photography, illustration, animation and motion design work.
- Manage an image library that reflects brand standards and represents audience diversity.
- Lead video projects through concept development, scripting, filming, editing and post-production.
- Balance multiple priorities with strong planning, organisation and project management skills.
- Manage and develop one designer, setting direction, priorities and quality standards under pressure.
What you need to succeed
- A strong portfolio showing breadth across branding, digital work and motion-based design.
- Senior-level experience leading design output or a creative resource.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Solid knowledge of design fundamentals such as typography, layout, composition and visual hierarchy.
- Practical experience in video creation, editing, colour grading and motion graphics.
- Confidence in directing photography and curating image assets.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to advise and influence colleagues.
- Excellent organisation and project management abilities, especially when handling competing deadlines.
- A meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality creative work.
- The judgement to balance creative flair with a professional tone suited to a knowledgeable audience.
Nice to have
- Experience designing digital user experiences.
- Ability to train or mentor others on creative tools or brand use.
- Awareness of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
- Familiarity with Figma, Canva or DaVinci Resolve.
Compensation and work setup
This is a permanent full-time position with a salary of £50,000 per year. The role is based in London and follows a hybrid working pattern.
